About

Digital Media Workshop
Middlesex University
Hendon, London, United Kingdom

One of the best digital media production labs in any UK University, the DMW was founded in 2005 to support the University's programmes in Film, Animation, and Interactive Media.

In September 2011 the new Digital Media Workshop opened in The Grove, Middlesex University's purpose built £90M Arts and Media building in Hendon.

The DMW has been completely updated with 35 Mac Pro computers and 40 iMacs as well as the latest software including Adobe CC 2014, ProTools, Logic Pro, Sibelius, DaVinci Resolve 11, ZBrush and Maya 2015.

Students can borrow equipment from our store including High-Definition cameras (JVC HM100, Canon 7D, Blackmagic Cinema Cameras), Lighting Kits, Sound Recorders with shotgun mics and boom poles as well as tripods and steadycams.

The workshop has also recently invested in 3D cinematography.  We have a mirror rig, passive stereo 3D TV with 3D Blu-ray player and advanced stereoscopy editing software from Cineform.
